Something Happy

This time of my life...post my schooldays and final exams and before college...people say there will be no other time in my life like this. There is no great pressure, either in studies or otherwise. You don't feel guilty when you're reading a book or crafting or simply lazing about. As my results had been declared, my spells of sudden panic attacks have also melted away. I am excited about college and a new era of my life but I plan to enjoy these last few days too. I am in quite an optimistic frame of mind these days, and my card for today is all about my feelings...

This week's CASology and Card Concept were made for each other! I love it when challenges coordinate so very effortlessly!
I drew the bee inspired from a bee stamp image I found in Pinterest. And I'm sure many of you have heard the song from which I picked out the sentiment!

The embossed hexagons have a little story behind them. I own no embossing folder, hexagonal or otherwise. Neither do I own any shape stencil. This hexagon comes from a stencil my mother owns! No, she is definitely not a crafter. But she is a chemistry professor, and her specialisation is organic chemistry. Back in the days when she was writing her doctoral thesis, there were no personal computers and hence all the complex organic structures had to be all hand drawn! So a colleague gifted her a stencil of some important chemical symbols. There were hexagons of many sizes for drawing benzene rings(which can be found in many, many organic structures). And yeah, I am using that stencil now to hand emboss on my cards!

Thanks for reading, and happy crafting!
